Review

This book is great if your looking for a quick read. It is a short with adventure, humor, and a little bit of romance. I would probable give it a 6.5 out of 10. That is probably because it just as magical a plot as I would have preferred. There is a sequel to the book . I haven’t read it,  but I do plan too, in the recent future. Nevertheless, this book is an amazing story that has the ability to sweep you off your feet.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

harry-booksSynopsis

The Dursleys were proud to say that they were perfectly normal people, and much better than everyone else. There is just one problem in their perfect little lives. Harry Potter. His parents died in a car crash, and since he was family, he was dumped on the Dursley’s doorstep, and they didn’t want him at all. Whenever Harry Potter was around weird things seemed to happen. Things that were not normal. Now,  whenever Harry had to go out with them, they treated Harry as an almost human being, but at home they made no move to hide their dislike of him.  He became their personal slave; doing the family’s cooking, cleaning, and any other work they demanded of him. On Harry Potter’s 11th birthday it all changed.

Hordes of owls were dropping letters into the Dursley household, and it seemed that Vernon and Petunia Dursley- the parents of Dudley Dursley, and adoptive parents of Harry Potter- knew exactly where they from. It also seemed that they were absolutely scared of who they were from, and what they meant. Now after some very stupid tactics to get away from the letters- that seemed to come wherever the Dursleys went- the contents of the letter were finally revealed, and in one of the strangest ways. The Dursleys and Harry were in some far-off island sleeping, when a giant of man stormed in, and demanded to know where Harry Potter was.  He introduced himself as Rubeus Hagrid, Gamekeeper at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he then proceeded to explain to Harry that he was a wizard, and that he and his parents are considered heroes in the wizarding world. When Harry tells Hagrid that his parents were normal, and died in a car crash Hagrid became outraged. Hagrid takes his anger out on the Dursleys. He gives Dudley a pig tail, and then gets angry at Vernon and Petunia for not telling the truth about the death of Harry’s parents; that they died heroically at the hands of the feared Lord Voldemort.

Soon Harry is swept into a world of magic. He becomes with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.  He also makes a couple enemies along the way. Namely Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape.  Harry faces cruel professors, unwanted fame, and exhilarating. Another thing he could possibly be facing is death, but the Boy- Who-Lived can get through it can’t he?

Review

I love this book, and the Harry Potter series. It is probably one of my favorites in the whole universe. It goes beyond any scale you could ever set for it. It has magic, dreams, and a captivating plot. It takes you into a world that you wish that you could be a part of. A lot of people say “Oh, the first book is boring, I couldn’t get through it.” Don’t give up reading this series, because one book seems too boring. The series is absolutely amazing. You will fall in love with it and then one day join the HP Fandom on Pinterest or Tumblr (I did). Have fun readers!

Review

This is seriously one of favorite book series. I would give at 11 out of 10. It is just that amazing. It has adventure, mystery, and comedy. I can guarantee this book will make you cry, laugh, and die. You will fall in love with all the characters. I did too. There is a prequel and sequel to these books. The sequel to it is incomplete. There are actually two prequels. Only one is done. The other is in progress. They too will leave you feeling hollow and happy.  I seriously hope you read these books. If you don’t, then you are missing out a great opportunity.

P.S. I know have not published for a long time. I was really busy with school and totally forgot I had a book blog. I finally had enough free time to write this blog. I hope you can
forgive my forgetfulness.

Rafe thought it was a great idea and planned it all out. He always got detentions when he broke the rules, so he wasn’t really worried. After a while it got bad. He once found himself in the back of a police car and facing expulsion.

How is Rafe going to get the mess he created?

Review

This book is a  9. This is one of those that I can truly understand because I am in middle school. I have experienced all the bullies and rules first and secondhand. While I never tried to break every rule in the rule book I still know where the urge to be noticed comes from.  There is 8 books in this series. Only 7 are out. The eighth should come out in October. I think people of all ages can read, enjoy, and relate to this book. It is amazing.

Ungifted

Synopsis

Donovan Curtis is a troublemaker, a bit a prankster, a little stupid, but an okay guy. He is an average student with an IQ of 112. Not amazing really. I already said Donovan Curtis is a troublemaker, but  what he did was mostly small pranks and things. Until now. Donavan just had to throw a stick at his school’s statue of Atlas, which  lost the huge bronze globe it had. And where did that globe go? It went hurtling right towards the school gym , where a the biggest basketball game of the season was taking place. After that you pretty much see how that story ended.

Now here comes the big crazy thing Donovan  did get caught, but before anything could happen he slipped out and the superintendent of the school  forgot his name. Instead he thought that Donovan Curtis was to be in the Academy of Scholastic Distinction, a place for some the most gifted, talented, and smart students. Not True.

The Academy is home to some of the smartest people in the state.   The have IQs from   159-206. Unbelievable. The kids at the Academy at the academy aren’t stupid, not one bit. They realize that a kid like Donovan doesn’t belong there. The only thing Donovan does for them is make them a little bit more normal, open, and social. To them that side of him the best, nothing else really. To top it off we have a pregnant sister for Donovan, a dog that is constantly annoying him, and a superintendent on the lookout for him. Can it get any better?

Review

Ungifted is a book that is full of humor, friendship, adventure,   and so much more. This book I give an 8 out of 10. It always makes me laugh, no matter what. You have to love all the characters in the book. Gordon Kothe author of this book. He did a great job developing all the characters in the book  and making them have distinct personalities. Another nice thing about this book is the fact that once in a while it switches between characters. So you can hear from Donovan’s point of view as well as the students at the academy and more.

This book is great for family reading, and for a fun read. Enjoy!

Now the janitors along with them are planning to strike back at the BEM to rid the word of Toxites. But what can they do? The government against a bunch kids is not a fair fight.

Review

This book is a 10 out of  10. The second the book starts there is already a problem. You get roped into the book immediately. Another nice thing is that even though there are magical creatures in the book, the people in it are not really that magical. Just the tools they use to fight are magical. They are actual janitors. Who would’ve expected that?

Another great thing about the book is that anyone can read it. The book is appropriate for all ages. It is  is full of action, adventure, drama, and comedy. I really hope you go to your local library to check it out. There is four other books in the series. The great thing is that  it is one of those series that you will love.

Review

This book is absolutely amazing. Being a spy now sounds both good and bad. Its not all just adventure. There is so much more involved. I give this book a 10  It has so many questions, mysteries, and cliffhangers. The book itself ends in a cliffhanger. The book is the first in the Gallagher Girl series. It features Cammie Morgan and her adventures. So far I’ve only read the first three books and I love them. I know I am going to enjoy the last three. Apparently the last book has a little novella that follows it. You can find it online at allycarter.com/books/. Read the books and remember to.. Enjoy!
